In Real Life

This is Katie and me Saturday in real life.

I love this picture. The image was taken on a camera phone, so it is not the best.  And in our defense it was 750 degrees outside. We were melting. Still, I love this picture.

I met Katie on Twitter while we were participating in Hello Mornings.

Hello Mornings is all about accountability and being in God’s Word.

Turns out Katie loves God’s Word and has the heart of a teacher. She even wrote a book with Lara to encourage you to get into God’s Word, too.

Want to know something else that is crazy?

Katie and I both worked for the same ministry.

We both met our husbands through this ministry.

Next month, we are headed to the Relevant Blogging Conference together.

She has agreed to be my roommate.

Did I mention, we met on Twitter?

: : :

Sitting across the table from us was Stef and Susan.

I live in the same town as these two inspiring women.

The three of us all homeschool our kids.

We blog.

Susan is going to Relevant for the first time and Stef was encouraging her (she is so good at that).

We talked easily for 2 hours.

And could have, for many more.

You know what I think? I think God is all over this social media thing, and He is bringing kindred hearts together.

In Real Life.

  1. [...] See, I’ve said before that God is all over his Social Media thing. I met Joy through her blog and we connect every week on Twitter. We chat on Facebook and email back and forth.  I met her in real life at Relevant (Isn’t she cute?) She truly is my sister in the Lord (Remember her amazing Grace Story?) And this week, God is using her to show my five year old, when you listen to God stir your heart, He will show you great and mighty things. [...]
