I was listening to a tele-seminar last night by Michael Hyatt and he asked a question at the end that made me think. In fact, I’m still thinking about it. Here it is:
What would you do if you were brave? What would be your next step if you had the courage to do what you really wanted to do?
Would you cut your hair? Dye it red? Would you buy white jeans and actually wear them? Maybe being brave for you is saying hi to a girl at church you really admire. Perhaps, if you were really brave you’d start writing a book or begin to blog. You know, in life we can be brave every day in hundreds of ways. But I’m guessing, if you are like me, there is one thing you thought of when you read the question. You said, “Oh, yes that!” Now, hang on, this is going somewhere. But first, let me tell you about what I wore last week. Cause I know that is WHY you are here today. But I couldn’t help adding some bonus content for you to think about!
Left: White camp shirt (Ann Taylor Loft), Jeans (Cabi)
Middle: White tank (H&M), Blue tank (Old Navy) and that skirt (Kohls)
Right: Grey v-neck dress (Kohls), White Tank (Target)
Remember, last week I told you this type of post wasn’t really world changing. But if you were here, and we were chatting over a Diet Coke, this question would definitely be on the table for discussion. I would tell you that writing my first What I Wore post was a brave act. I felt awkward and didn’t want you to think I was loving taking photos of myself. But, I have always liked these types of posts, so I took a risk and started taking pictures and actually posting them. I’m so glad I was brave. I met you. We have had some lovely times talking about fashion and life. And this weekly post is now part of 29 Lincoln Avenue. It just belongs here.
I love to ask these kinds of questions. What I love more is hearing your answer. So, tell me, what would you do if you were really brave? Let’s chat in the comments!
