And Now You Know

Have you seen the new (in)courage website?    As if it wasn’t great already, they went and made it just plain awesome! It has the same lovely women with their source of constant (in)couragement, but with a sweet new style!  You will love it!

And here is the fun part!  They have a new section on their site for guest writers to share their hearts.  I am super excited (of course) to be featured at (in)courage this coming Sunday, September 19! Please make a mental note to stop by on Sunday and click through to the (in)courage beach house so you can come, too!  It is always nice to see a familiar face when you are stepping out in faith, holding your breath, and praying you don’t do something silly like trip and fall flat on your face!

In other great news - the Friday Five is back  at 29lincolnavenue this coming Friday with an interview by Courtney from Women Living Well!   I love her passion and heart to encourage women and I know you will, too.

Also, this coming Friday I am hanging out with my friend Amy from Girlfriends Get Real.  She has done a great makeover on her blog (with help from Erin) and invited me to to her place to write on real life::real faith!  I can’t wait!

Do you have a Mission Statement?  I do, and I’m sharing it here tomorrow!  I’d love to hear yours, too!

And finally,  today, marks the last post in the series, I am writing for MODsquad on praying for your daughter from head to toe. It has been an amazing journey that God has had me on for the past few weeks!  I hope you will join me there today if you have a few minutes by clicking, here!

Beautiful Feet

The first thing I remember doing when they handed me {each one of } my brand new baby girl, was unwrapping the blanket and looking at her tiny feet.  Still inked from leaving her first imprint on the world, those toes wiggled their way into my heart. Thousands of kisses and painted toenails later I wonder where those beautiful feet will take her?  Will she walk with Jesus and leave His peace wherever she goes?  Is she going to stay on the path of righteousness?  Who will she run to in times of trouble? Join me at the MODsqaud blog today as I share about Praying for Your Daughter’s Feet.

Parenting On Purpose

I don’t know about you, but lately I have found myself in constant motion.  I move from one thing to another – one need to another – until I collapse into bed each night.  Life is moving dreadfully fast. Wasn’t it yesterday that my oldest was sitting in the shopping cart gazing into my eyes?  Now she stands toe to toe with me and meets me eye to eye.  So how in the world do we stop even for just a minute or two and be moms of purpose?  Join me at the MODsquad blog today as I share my heart about praying we will be moms of purpose!

No Gift Is So Precious

“Give Me thy heart”, says the Father above—
No gift so precious to Him as our love;
Softly He whispers wherever thou art,
“Gratefully trust Me and give Me thy heart.”

Hymn “Give Me Thy Heart”

by Eliza Edmunds Stites, 1898

Prayer

As I was sitting down to write this post, a quote by Max Lucado popped up in my Twitter feed:

The power of prayer is not in the one who says it but in the One who hears it.

You know what I think?  He wants us to lean in a little closer so He can whisper this great truth into our ears.  He wants to say to you and me, that even though we are weary, He has all the power we need.  When we call on His name we get a glimpse of it. What are you doing and who are you doing it for,

when you are at your best and enjoying it the most?

This question came from our teaching pastor, Jimmy Knott, during a great message on discovering your personal ministry.

I’d love to hear your answer in the comments!
